National Honor Society has been honoring outstanding high school students for over 75 years. The Logan Elm Chapter of NHS has inducted several students throughout the years. In February of your junior or senior year students with a GPA of 3.6 or better receive an application for their nomination. After the students complete their applications teachers review them based on characteristics such as: leadership skills, activities, services to the community and your school, and character. If a person has all of these qualifications they are then tapped into the society in March. You stay in NHS as long as you still exhibit the qualities you had to have in order to get in. Seniors involved in NHS choose Students of the Month and get involved in a number of community service projects. |
