GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

1. Students must earn 24 credits and pass all sectionals of the Ohio Graduation Test in order to graduate.
A. For students attending LEHS their junior and senior years, the minimum core credits must include:

Math 3
Health 1/2
Physical Ed. 1/2
“Free” Electives 9
“Specified” Electives 2 1
Required Test Proficiency 2005, 2006; OGT 2007, 2008

1 The Science credits must include one (1) biological and one (1) physical science.
2 “Specified” electives are Business/Technology, Fine Arts, or Foreign Language. Students must earn (1) credit in one of these three (3) areas.

B. Students attending the Pickaway-Ross Career & Technical Center during their junior and senior year will earn a majority of credits in career-focused courses. Pickaway-Ross students achieving a “C” average and receiving a teacher recommendation will earn a State Vocational Certificate in addition to a diploma. Therefore, the minimum core credits for those students must include:

Required Test Proficiency 2005, 2006; OGT 2007, 2008

2. To graduate from Logan Elm High School, students must pass all parts of the tests designated by the Ohio Department of Education.

These tests are given twice a year, usually in the fall and spring.

All students (except those exempted per I.E.P.) must also pass all parts of the designated state tests to participate in the graduation ceremony and earn a diploma. For additional information refer to curriculum guide.
