MLA Guidelines

What is MLA Style?

 The language arts department in Logan Elm School District has chosen to use the style established by the Modern Language Association.  Students producing papers and research for classes at all levels will document their sources and use the mechanics of writing as approved by the MLA.  The goal is to establish the practice of using correct documentation early and to encourage its use throughout the student’s education in all content areas.

 The examples here are by no means complete, but will serve as a guideline based on the current MLA Handbook, 5^th edition.
