Student Recycling Contest updated 3/25/08
March Paper Recycling Contest
The student who brings in the most paper by
weight between 2/29/08 and 3/25/08 will win a $25.00 Wal-Mart
gift card. I will post the results below. We also
have 2 rounds of golf at Crown Hill, Pizzas from Pizza Hut, Papa Johns,
and Christy's. Other food certificates will be randomly drawn.
ALL PAPER MUST GO TO ROOM 29, Mr. Tomlinson to be weighed. This is
cumulative weight so bring in the paper as you can. We have
wheeled trash cans to haul it in if necessary!
Students can drop
off paper to be recycled in room 29 (Mr. Tomlinson) and will be given a
numbered ticket. One half of the ticket will be entered into a drawing
for prizes. Each 10 pound bag is worth one ticket, the more
paper recycled, the better chance they will have to win prizes. The
students must keep their ticket stubs and we will post the monthly
winning numbers on the web page. Students are responsible for turning
in the winning ticket to claim their prize.
Prizes are donated from the businesses listed below.
A stack of
newspapers 4-5 inches high is approximately 10 pounds. You can recycle
shopping catalogs, magazines, newspapers, junk mail, old school papers.
Please, no cardboard.
